Biography

Vijeta Singh is an Assistant Professor, at the Jaypee Business School, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida. She obtained her PhD from IIT Bombay in 2018 in the area of microfinance. Her research has been published in ABDC and Scopus-indexed journals and her research interests broadly lie in topics like renewable energy, microfinance, sustainable development goals (SDGs), green growth, hydrogen economy, green finance, and clean fuels; relevant skills and expertise include working on statistics and econometric modelling over various ranges of micro and macroeconomic issues. She has experience in heading/co-heading funded projects and organizing research workshops.

PAST PROJECTS

  1. Worked as co-project director for the major project Employment Generation Through Women Entrepreneurship: Practical Approach” (budget INR 840000) awarded under IMPRESS scheme of ICSSR by government of India sanctioned on 20th March 2019.
  2. Worked as the principal investigator for the student research project awarded in 2013 by National Stock Exchange, Mumbai India (budget INR 30000) titled Indian Microfinance Sector in Capital Markets- Perils and Prospects (project status submitted). The research output from this project has been published on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) website.

ONGOING PROJECTS

  1. Working as co-project director for the research project awarded in 2024 by National Insurance Academy (budget INR 860000) titled Examining Financial Capability as a Determinant of Uptake of Crop Insurance Under PMFBY Scheme in Maharashtra”.
